Ok, I've gone a bit mad with the camera but I was quite excited about this visitor to my garden this morning. A Fieldfare jealously guarding a piece of apple against all comers.

Mrs. Blackbird is thinking "that was put out for me".

Fieldfare doesn't care, possession is 9/10ths of the law.

A Collared Dove comes visiting,

with friends.

Still guarding his apple.

Meanwhile, in the front garden Mr. Blackbird is having a feast.

Fieldfare has finished his meal,

and flown off.
