What a difference a year makes! Can't  believe this photo came up in my facebook memories for only a year ago. The garden looked so EXPOSED with the old arch taken down and the clematis cut right back. I missed the sense of discovery as I came from one section to the next and the climate of the middle section changed as well with the shelter provided by the clematis was removed.

But look at it now. The new arch was a major investment, after one cheap metal one and three home bodged ones collapsed, I decided to invest in something which will hopefully last. The trellis supporting the David Austen rose, Malvern Hills, bought in memory of my old horse, Imshi, who I lost a year ago, and the bay tree in its pot provide some screening.

And after last years feeble attempt at flowering, the clematis seems to be happy again and trying to rcover territory lost😁, and looks set to be covered in flowers again.

Isn't it amazing how nature recovers?

Beautiful sunset tonight

A quick tour round my garden this weekend. Everything has suddenly sprung into life, as if making up for the miserably long winter.

And into the new vegetable garden.

Had 3 cuts from the spinach already.

This little bee is happily buzzing round my potatoes.

I put some marbles in the knot holes in the gate, when the sun is in the right place they catch the rays and really sparkle.

The rock spirits are having one great party by the look on their faces.

Hello little ladybirds.

Let sleeping dragons lie.

And onto the front garden
