A flock of sparrows enjoying breakfast this morning

While Mr. Blackbird looks on.

And then comes down to join them at a distance.

Spent a sunny but chilly afternoon in the front garden today in the company of  my feathered friends. 

This little bluetit had a good feed.

While the robin was singing his heart out.

I was emptying the compost bin and spreading the compost round the hellebores.

Meanwhile in the back garden the starling was resting on the arch, it was obviously tiring watching me work.

Not a very good photo, but this frog and his friend narrowly escaped being stabbed with the fork as I was emptying the compost. They were hiding in the corner of the bin but wouldn't hang around while I got them in focus they were so eager to escape.

Some of the visitors to the feeder outside the kitchen window this morning. The washing up took a little bit longer than usual!
